A little bit about me...

My name is Jack McCamley-Wilding and I am currently studying mechanical engineering at Strathclyde and have a passion for mathematics. I have always had an instinctive understanding for the subject. At school, I received As in National 5 all the way through to Advanced Higher maths and beyond. Recently, I left school in 2020 so have a great knowledge of the school exam system. Also, I can relate to my pupils concerns more than most tutors, due to this. I am devoted to trying to get more people interested in maths as I feel once it is understood fully, is an extremely rewarding subject. I am a national 5 and higher maths tutor. As I have a background in mechanical engineering, I do also offer physics tuition at National 5. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me regarding this as well. For more information concerning tuition and prices please click here or contact me directly.

A little bit about Andrew...

My name is Andrew Tan, I am a third year student studying mechanical engineering at Strathclyde University. From a young age I have been intrigued and interested to learn more about mathematics, whether it was in the classroom or from examples in everyday life. I recently graduated from school in 2020, attaining an A in National 5 maths, Higher maths and Advanced Higher. As a mechanical engineering student, maths has continued to play a huge part in my education providing me with a further understanding past school level. Having recently left school and now studying at university, I am all too familiar with the struggles of trying to do well in an exam. I will ensure that my students have the best possible chance of not only passing their maths exam, but achieving a top grade. I am a higher maths tutor but also teach younger students so please get in touch if you are interested in starting tuition.

A little bit about Yolanda...

Hi! My name is Yolanda Ramirez, I’m from Co.Clare, Ireland, I moved to Glasgow in 2020 to study at the University of Strathclyde. I graduated from secondary school with a H2 (85%) In Maths and H1 in Physics (95%). I loved my maths and physics classes in school and decided to pursue a career in Physics, which I am currently studying at Strathclyde. The solid understanding in maths fundamentals I gained in school, thanks to my excellent teacher, has benefitted me hugely with my study of physics. I believe that obtaining a comfortable understanding in basic mathematical concepts will not only benefit my students to confidently tackle maths exams in school but also help in many ways throughout everyday life, no matter what path they choose.

maths tutor Dan

A little bit about Dan...

Hello, my name is Daniel Betoin, and I am a third-year mechanical engineering student at the University of Strathclyde. I studied in England before coming to Strathclyde and achieved a grade 9 in my Mathematics GCSE, with an A* at A level. Last year I was placed on the Dean’s List for being in the top 10% of my year with an overall grade of 84%. I believe that having support around academia is crucial for success and student wellbeing, so I am excited to begin tutoring young people in Mathematics, and build their confidence with the subject.

tutor Caelan

A little bit about Caelan

My name is Caelan Gillon. I am a second year student at the University of Strathclyde and am studying Aero-Mechanical Engineering. I have a passion for all things mathematical and choose to explore these interests through higher education. I graduated high school with top marks in Mathematics up to Advanced Higher and Mathematics of Mechanics. I understand how to navigate the content of these courses effectively as a student, and due to being a recent graduate, I am able to share my insights, expertise and tips. I can provide an intuitive process to learning new & old content and help effectively prepare for exams or tests. I am offering tuition for Mathematics, from National 4 up to Higher and can also help with Physics and Engineering Science at the same levels.
